Vena Brykalin started his career in fashion publications in Ukraine, working in sales and creative. He joined the national edition of Vogue as a fashion editor in 2017 and was promoted to fashion director in 2019. In 2022 he was appointed the title editor's chief.

Brykalin joined the Business of Fashion’s BOF500 list most influential people in the industry in 2023.
