After studying fashion design, Dirk Schönberger founded the namesake brand in 1995 and moved from Antwerp to Berlin in December 2006. He was Creative Director at JOOP! Hamburg (2007-2010) and Adidas (2010-2018), and joined MCM as Global Creative officer in 2018. He left in January 2023 to join the furniture brand vetsak as Chief Brand Office and returned to MCM in 2025, holding now CBO positions for both brands.
